Become the DJ and broadcast audio or video from any source to everyone on your server. Share music from Spotify, game audio, a YouTube tab, or your entire screen — listeners tune in with one click.
Click the DJ toolbar button on any Gold or Diamond server and hit "Become the DJ." Pick your quality preset and select what to share — a browser tab, application window, or your entire screen.
A fun DJ announcement pops up for all online server members showing your avatar and a random message like "has entered the booth" or "has the vibes on lock." They choose to Listen (or Watch) or Ignore.
Listeners connect to your broadcast with a single click. Audio plays immediately. If you're sharing video, it opens in a picture-in-picture window so they can keep chatting while watching.
The DJ feature uses your browser's built-in screen sharing — any audio or video source your computer can play, you can broadcast.
Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, SoundCloud — share a browser tab with "Share tab audio" checked, or share your entire screen to capture system audio from any desktop app.
Share a YouTube video, Twitch stream, movie, or any browser tab. Viewers see the video in a picture-in-picture overlay while continuing to use GameVox normally.
Share your entire screen to broadcast game audio, or use audio-only mode for background music while gaming. Perfect for raid night soundtracks or watch parties.
Choose the right quality for your use case. Higher tiers unlock higher quality options.

Server admins control who can become the DJ and who can listen via group permissions. Grant "Use DJ" to trusted members and "Listen to DJ" to everyone, or lock it down however you like.
Enable or disable the DJ feature in Server Settings under Music. When disabled, the toolbar button is hidden for everyone. When enabled, only members with the right permissions see it.
Any member with DJ permission can take over as the current DJ. The toolbar button glows green and pulses when a DJ is active, so everyone knows there's something playing.
The DJ broadcast runs on its own WebRTC connection, completely separate from voice channels. You don't need to be in a voice channel to DJ or listen. You can be in voice chat talking to friends while listening to the DJ at the same time.
If your connection drops, both DJs and listeners automatically reconnect with exponential backoff. The server holds a grace period so brief network blips don't kill the session.
DJ works on the desktop app, web app, and self-hosted servers. Same feature, same quality, no plugins or bots required.
